A 72-year-old Ephrata woman dies from injuries suffered earlier this month in an accident on State Route 17 near Moses Lake. Police say Lee Hampton was heading southbound near Randolph Road when she crossed the center line hitting an oncoming SUV. Hampton was first taken to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake then airlifted to a Spokane hospital where she died on Aug. 18. The accident investigation shut down SR17 for several hours.
