Gov. Jay Inslee is making stopping climate change a part of his 2021 agenda after annoucing several climate related proposals for the next legislative session. Inslee is calliong for a $12.6 million “Climate Commitment Act” that among other things will , fully reinstate the cap on carbon pollution. It also permits the Department of Ecology to develop an industrial compliance program through the sale, tracking and accounting of greenhouse gas credits.
