It may be some time before the identity of the driver killed Monday near Royal City is identified. According to state troopers that’s because the car involved was not currently registered and it had been sold twice since the last registered owner filed paperwork with the DOL. Without the registration information the driver’s identity can’t be confirmed. Troopers say they may never be able to identify the driver.
