Starting on Thursday bicyclists will no longer be required to stop at stop signs. Washington’s “Safety Stop” law will allow riders to treat a stop sign as a yield sign allowing them to go through an intersection if there’s no traffic. People riding bikes must yield to any vehicle already in the intersection as has always been the case. Washington is the 5th state to enact this law.
