Grant County Fire District 7 says an elderly woman fell and injured herself, after she suffered a medical episode about a 1/2 mile up the rugged trail. EAST WENATCHEE – Washington State Troopers quickly caught up with a drunk driver in connection to a hit and run near East Wenatchee Friday. Danielle Wood was located on NW Cascade St. in East Wenatchee shortly after she collided with a vehicle on SR 2 causing the 67-year-old driver to crash into an orchard. -0-
CHELAN FALLS – An Okanogan County man was hurt after his truck collided with a deer on US 97 west of Chelan Falls early Saturday morning. Police said the 42-year-old was taken to Lake Chelan Hospital for treatment. -0-
OKANOGAN – Authorities say strong winds lifted a hangar off the ground with a plane inside at the Okanogan Legion Airport Thursday night, sending both flying onto power lines, sparking a brush fire on the hillside below the airport. The fire was quickly extinguished. No one was hurt. -0-
