A state senator from Ritzville says the legislature needs to convene in special session to deal with the more than $9 billion loss the state is facing due to the coronavirus outbreak. 9th District Senator Mark Schoesler says there are big holes in the state financial picture and while the legislature has the ultimate control over the budget Governor Jay Inslee won’t let lawmakers step in to address the problems. Other state lawmakers are also calling for a special session.
