Samaritan Hospital Faces Revenue Shortfall

Moses Lake-based Samaritan Healthcare is implementing nearly $7 million in expense reductions as a result of loweer patient visits due to the coronavirus outbreak. Officials say a 40% decline in patient volume since March 1st has translated into a loss of $15 million in gross patient revenue. Management and leadership are taking pay cuts and staff members mostly affected by restrictions placed on elective procedures are being asked to take voluntary unemployment.
