Moses Lake’s newly retired K-9 Chief will have his medical costs and food paid for thanks to a national organization providing support for former police dogs. Project K-9 Hero announced it will cover Chief’s expenses including his end of duty services. Chief was shot in the eye last February while he and Officer Nick Stewart were trying to apprehend a suspect. His eye was surgically removed.
