Avista Utilities customers in Adams County who have lost their job can now apply for a grant of up to $350 under revisions to the utility’s Low Income Rate Assistance Program that were approved by the state utilities and transportation commission. Among the changes is the lkifting of the one-grant-per-program-year limit and reducing the low-income verification requirement from three months to one month. Avista also suspected non-payment service disconnections.
