Those with studded tires on their vehicles who got an extension on their removal get another extension. The DOT announced the new removal deadline is May 15 which adds two weeks to the initial April 30 extension. Officials say the extension is due to the social distancing guidelines which limit the access to tire shops. Removal extensions aren’t uncommon but they are generally the result ofwidespread snow and ice.
