State lawmakers aren’t wasting any time in their 60-day session to get new gun control legislation introduced. On Monday a senate committee started debating five separate bills including ones banning high-capacity ammunition magazines and increasing penalties for those caught stealing a firearm or committing crimes with a stolen firearm. A bill banning the sale and manufacturing of assault rifles is working its way through committes in the House and Senate.
