Former Washington Supreme Court Justice Rosselle Pekelis, lost her battle with brain cancer. According to a Seattle TV station the former jurist died at her home on December 9 surrounded by family on Dec. 9 at the age of 81. She had been diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme last September and stepped down from the chief justice role shortly thereafter. A memorial will be held May 5 at the state Supreme Court in Olympia
