EPHRATA – A discarded cigarette is being blamed for a fire outside the Grant County justice building on Monday.
Staff found a garbage can completely melted and still burning near the justice center’s entrance. They quickly extinguished the flames, and after further investigation, Ephrata Police say it’s believed that the still burning cigarette caught the contents of the can on fire.
