MOSES LAKE – An Ephrata man has been charged with vehicular assault in a May 2020 DUI crash near Moses Lake. Charges were filed Monday against Henry Garcia Varela, 48, stemming from the incident on I-90 near Hansen Road in which he rear ended a vehicle, sending his wife and the driver of the other car to hospital, according to court records. Toxicology results allegedly showed Garcia Varela’s blood alcohol was above the legal limit, according to state troopers.
