Competency evaluation ordered for man accused of killing girlfriend near Waterville

WATERVILLE – A man accused of killing his former girlfriend near Waterville has been ordered to undergo a competency evaluation. Dalton Potter will be evaluated by Eastern State Hospital, according to Newsradio 560 KPQ. During a hearing on Tuesday, Potter spoke out several times complaining about his attorney and asking if he could represent himself. Potter remains jailed on $3 million bail.
