Being drug tested to get a job could soon come to an end

OLYMPIA – Being drug tested to get a job could soon come to an end. A new Washington law that would prevent employers from testing pre-hires for marijuana consumption is being considered by lawmakers. Senate Bill 5123 would make it unlawful for an employer to not hire a prospective worker based on their personal use of cannabis.
The proposed law will be heard in executive session today [Jan. 31].
