Homicide suspect freed after fatal shooting in Cashmere deemed justified

WENATCHEE – A second-degree murder charge was dismissed Wednesday against a man who fatally shot a man in September in Cashmere. Prosecutors dropped the charge against Jesus Torres-Lucatero saying the 24 year old was justified in using deadly force in defense of his brother as he was being attacked by the deceased. Both Lucatero brothers were released from jail after charges were dismissed.
