QUINCY – Two families are homeless ahead of the holidays after a wind-fueled fire that took off Wednesday night. A home in the 500 block of S Street SW caught fire near 4th Avenue and when crews arrived, the fast moving blaze had started to spread into a neighboring home. Fire officials say a firefighter sustained minor injuries while fighting the fire. Occupants of both the homes managed to get out safely. What caused the fire has yet to be determined.
