UPDATE – A semi-truck driver was cited for going too fast for road conditions in a crash that the state patrol now says involved 38 vehicles on eastbound Interstate 90 near Kittitas. Jose L. Palacios, 57, was driving in dense freezing fog when the vehicle lost traction, spun out, and came to rest facing north in the eastbound lanes, causing several collisions as a result. A total of 20 passenger vehicles and 18 semi-trucks were involved. State troopers say minor injuries were reported in the pileup that blocked Eastbound I-90 for about 10 hours.
