Ellensburg man set to stand trial in attempted attack on Idaho Pride Fest

A trial date has been set for a 20-year-old Ellensburg man who pleaded not guilty for his role in a white supremacists groups plan to disrupt a pride event in Idaho last spring. Spencer Simpson will face a judge and jury on January 23 on criminal conspiracy charges, stemming from an incident involving 30 other Patriot Front members who were arrested in June on their way to a Pride celebration wearing riot gear and carrying smoke grenades. Other members of the Patriot Front who were arrested have court appearances through February 2023.
