One Washington senator is rallying for energy efficient air travel. U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) testified before aviation industry leaders Wednesday and underlined the need to invest in electric aircraft and alternative sustainable fuel sources to make commuter air travel cleaner, more affordable and more accessible for communities across Washington state. The testimony followed Eviation’s launch of its first ever test flight for “Alice,” a nine-seater all-electric commuter airplane prototype, at the Grant County International airport in Moses Lake.
