Former Thurston County Corrections deputy fired for soliciting sex

OLYMPIA – A former Thurston County Corrections deputy is out of a job after allegedly soliciting sex from an inmate’s significant other last month. After the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office got a complaint from a woman who said she received an email from the 33-year-old Corrections Deputy asking to hook up with her, authorities wrote back pretending to be her and set up a meeting, but when the suspect showed up he was greeted by detectives and promptly arrested. He has been terminated from his job with the county. Formal charges are pending in the case.
