Short supply and high demand have Moses Lake concerned about water

MOSES LAKE – Short supply and high demand have the city of Moses Lake concerned about water. A significant decline in the deep aquifer has Moses Lake experiencing ‘serious water supply issues,’ Moses Lake City Manager Allison Williams explained. She said the city faces challenges meeting summer demand, especially during peak times. The city says the low water supply poses issues to farmers and fire departments. The city is in the process of updating the 2015 Comprehensive Water System Plan to remedy the problem.
