LEAVENWORTH – Crews have resumed the search for the bodies of two climbers burried in an avalanche in February near Leavenworth. The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office used one of its helicopters on Sunday to determine if snow melt will help with recovery efforts of the climbers remains. Sheriff’s officials told Source ONE News, however, that the snow is still too deep and the sheriff’s office will periodically check the area to assess conditions.
