CLE ELUM – One person was killed in a chain reaction crash on SR 970 near Cle Elum Wednesday evening. State Patrol says 37-year-old Elecia Vaughn ran into the back of a stopped vehicle, sending that car slamming into the rig in front of it that was making a turn. Vaughn died at the scene. Alcohol and drugs were not a factor, and the exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
