Fun on the water turned deadly for a Cashmere man

DRYDEN – Fun on the water turned deadly for a Cashmere man who had to be pulled from the Wenatchee River near Dryden Thursday. Authorities received a call about an overturned raft carrying seven people, with one of the occupants reportedly unresponsive. The man was pronounced dead after nearly an hour of CPR. Sheriff’s officials issued a warning saying water levels are at record levels and rivers in the area are exceptionally dangerous to be in over the next several days.
