OLYMPIA – On Monday, Washington’s Senate passed a House-amended bill giving police greater authority to initiate a vehicle chase. Republican Senator Judy Warnick of Moses Lake was a sponsor of the measure which allows officers to pursue a vehicle if there is reasonable suspicion of serious risk of harm to others. SB 5352 now heads to Governor Jay Inslee’s desk for signature.
