Washington House Democrats pass firearms bill with 10-day waiting period

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) – Washington House Democrats have passed a bill that would require a 10-day waiting period when purchasing firearms. Weapons dealers would not be able to sell or transfer guns without the completion of a background check and 10 day waiting period, The Olympian reported. The measure passed Tuesday and will move to the Senate for consideration. If approved the legislation would go into effect on July 1, 2024.
