Shoe prints in the snow lead deputies to suspected Soap Lake burglar

SOAP LAKE – Shoe prints in the snow helped lead deputies to a man suspected of breaking into a shop Monday morning near Soap Lake. According to the sheriff’s office, the perpatrator, identified as Nicholas Schafer, 25, was reportedly seen on camera entering the store on Locust Road stealing a number of tools. He was found hiding in an orchard by a K9 officr and arrested.
