Stevens County restaurant fined $10,000 for serving unregulated fish

STEVENS COUNTY – A Stevens County restaurant has been fined $10,000 following a multi-year investigation into “illegal, unreported, unregulated and misbranding” of fish served at the eatery. The owner of TJ’s Bar and Grill is accused of bringing fish back that he caught recreationally to be served at the restaurant without necessary permits, or licenses, according to WDFW. The business was convicted on Tuesday of first-degree unlawful fish catch. Charges against the restaurant owner were dropped as part of a plea deal.
