OMAK – Police described a severe knife wound that sent an Omak man to the hospital ‘suspicous.’ Omak Police say the 41-year-old claims he was “playing” with his fixed blade hunting knife when he slipped on ice and fell on it while walking along South Columbia Street and Omak Avenue on Monday. Police reported that the man was with a woman at the time of the so-called accident, and say there were two knives at the scene but the injured man was reluctant to say why the other knife was there. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to be ok. No arrests were made.
