Moses Lake man facing felony charges after speeding away from traffic stop

MOSES LAKE – A 31-year-old Moses Lake man is facing felony eluding charges after speeding away from a traffic stop early Saturday. Just after midnight a Grant County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to pull over a vehicle for speeding and driving erratically and due to the vehicle’s refusal to stop, a deputy used a PIT maneuver to disable the car and the driver then fled into an orchard. Police were able to quickly catch up to Rafael Romero a short time later and he was taken into custody.
