High speed chase through Ephrata ends with one arrest

EPHRATA – The quick actions of police led to an arrest following a high speed chase through Ephrata Saturday.
During a traffic stop on Basin Street and SR 282 the driver sped off prompting a police pursuit along SR 28 towards Oasis Park. An officer traveling in the opposite direction spotted the fleeing vehicle and pursued the perpatrator who eventually drove into an orchard where he got stuck and was taken into custody. 31-year-old Damien Rasmussen was being held at the Grant County Jail on multiple charges, including a felony ‘failure to comply’ warrant.
