Tribal leaders concerned about polluted waters in Copper Mountain mine north of central Washington

The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation are concerned about polluted waters in the Copper Mountain mine in Canada north of central Washington. Tribal leaders went to Washington D.C. to warn federal officials about the mines producing harmful waste that gets into the water and threatens their efforts to recover endangered fish species like salmon in the region. Companies in Canada are considering expanding mines in the province.
