Gov. Inslee is working to address a lack of affordable housing and a growing homeless population in Washington

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) – Gov. Inslee is working to address a lack of affordable housing and a growing homeless population in Washington. The Gov. proposed Wednesday that state spending during the next two years prioritize housing. If lawmakers ok the referendum and voters approve it next November, the money would be spent on emergency housing for the homeless, affordable housing units, and helping low-income first-time homebuyers. Lawmakers will meet in Olympia starting Jan. 9.
