Drivers not obeying the chain-up requirements traveling across Snoqualmie Pass are causing problems. Washington state’s Department of Transportation noted that in 2021 and 2022 more than in other years they’ve been prompted to shutdown Snoqualmie Pass because of people thinking they can get over the pass on bald tires or not chaining up, KING 5 reported Tuesday, in its correspondence with WSDOT’s Summer Derry regarding the pass closures several times this year due to the bad behavior of drivers.
