CLE ELUM – A January, 31, 2023 jury trial has been set for a Cle Elum man arrested for shooting up his place of work. According to a probable cause affidavit, Tom Hester became enraged over a child support payment that was taken out of his paycheck and threatened to “blow his boss’ head off.” Hester then held police at bay for hours and fired a shotgun inside Moore’s Metal Works on SR 903 in Cle Elum four times. The 55-year-old disgruntled employee pleaded ‘not guilty’ to felony harassment. He’s being held in the Kittitas County Jail on $75,000 bail.
