If you’re hittin’ the road for the holidays you may be paying more at the pump

If you’re planning on hittin’ the road for the holidays you may be paying more to fill up. This year’s average gasoline prices during Thanksgiving weekend are projected to be $3.68, nearly 30 cents higher than last year, according to Gas Buddy. But that won’t deter travelers, as AAA predicts 54.6 million people will head home for the holiday next week. That’s 98% of pre-pandemic volumes. This year is projected to be the third busiest for Thanksgiving travel.
