DESERT AIRE – A semi hauling apples jacknifed on SR 24 near the Vernita Bridge east of Desert Aire on Wednesday. State Patrol officials say a gust of wind reportedly pushed the semi over onto its side, part of its load was lost. Troopers say the driver suffered a back injury in the incident.
