Lind mayor flooded with criticism over water shortage

LIND – Things got heated at Tuesday night’s city council meeting in the basement of the Lind Community Church.
During the city council meeting, Mayor Paula Bell addressed calls for her to resign over the town’s handling of a local water shortage, which town folk are reportedly upset with Bell about, asserting that she mismanaged the town’s water system leading some to blame her for depletion of some wells. Bell affirmed that she intends to complete her second term, which expires in 2026. The Spokesman Review reports that plans for a recall will move forward if Bell refuses to step down.
