OTHELLO – A hit and run accident that left a pedestrian dead in Othello remains under investigation. State troopers say an officer was driving west on SR 24 at Park Street on Sept. 18 when he found a man laying on the westbound shoulder of the highway, along with various vehicle parts at the scene. Surveillance video from a neighboring business shows a dark-colored SUV hitting the victim the night before [Sept. 17], and then fleeing the scene. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the sheriff’s office.
