A 35-year-old Nespelem [Nes – pee – lum] man will spend the next two decades behind bars in connection to a 2020 violent crime spree. John Edward McGinnis is accused of kidnapping four people and holding them at gunpoint for several hours, including three children, before robbing and raping a woman in the Grand Coulee area, and leading police on a high speed chase in a stolen truck near Second Avenue in Spokane. McGinnis was sentenced to 22 years in prison, according to court documents.
