Man arrested for climbing to top of enator George Sellar Bridge says he wanted ‘better view’

WENATCHEE – Multiple charges have been filed against a man who climbed to the top of the Senator George Sellar Bridge’s super structure over the Columbia River between Wenatchee and East Wenatchee on Friday. Wenatchee Police say, the bridge was closed for 2.5 hours as they tried to convince the man, who climbed his way to the top of the arch above the bridge where the American flagpole is, to come down. Police say the man told them he wanted a better view of the Wenatchee area.
