ELLENSBURG – A 20-year-old Ellensburg man accused of plotting with a white supremacy group to disrupt a pride event in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho appeared in front of a Kootenai County judge Monday. According to the Spokesman Review, Spencer Thomas Simpson was arrested with dozens of other “Patriot Front” members this summer [June 27] after a concerned citizen reported seeing a “little army” climbing into a U-Haul in a hotel parking lot wearing riot gear. The group was quickly intercepted. The Spokesman Review reports that 13 Patriot Front members have pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal conspiracy to riot so far.
