Gov. Jay Inslee vows to counter abortion investigations

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) – Gov. Jay Inslee has issued a directive instructing the Washington State Patrol not to cooperate with out-of-state abortion investigations. The preemptive move comes as states where a woman’s choice is banned are expected to investigate whether their residents have traveled to the state.
The order was finalized Thursday. The U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last week.
Inslee said, Washington will continue to protect a woman’s right to choose.
