President Biden begs Congress to restore ‘common sense’ gun laws

WASHINGTON (AP) – “Enough, enough!” Those were the pleas from President Joe Biden Thursday night, during his address to the nation imploring Congress to take action against gun violence after recent mass shootings. Speaking at the White House, Biden pressured Congress to restore a ban on assault-style weapons designed for wars. Biden insisted his appeal wasn’t about “vilifying gun owners” or “taking away anybody’s guns,” citing former common sense gun laws have been proven to work.
