Wenatchee woman to hold demonstration protesting SCOTUS reversal of Roe V Wade

WENATCHEE – A 20-year-old Wenatchee woman is holding a demonstration to protest the judicial opinion to reverse Roe v. Wade. The event is open to the public and is set for this Saturday evening [May 14], at Memorial Park on Chelan Avenue, beginning at 5p.

MEANWHILE…

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee decried a draft U.S. Supreme Court opinion that would throw out the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling. Earlier this year Inslee signed into law a measure that increases the number of medical providers and prohibits legal action against people seeking an abortion and those who aid them. The move comes as a rebuttal to recent actions by Republican states, like Texas where bounty hunters will be paid $10,000 or more if they successfully out a provider or anyone who helps a patient.
