Speeding was a factor in head on crash that killed motorcyclist near Yakima

ELLENSBURG – Speeding was a factor in a fatal head on crash Thursday involving a motorcyclist. According to Washington State Troopers a 35-year-old Yakima man was traveling at excessive speeds on his motorcycle around a dangerous corner of SR 281 in a canyon between Ellensburg and Yakima when he struck an oncoming pickup truck. He was killed. The driver and a passenger in the pickup truck were not hurt.
