City of Leavenworth will launch affordable home buying program

LEAVENWORTH – Thanks to a nearly $1 million federal award the City of Leavenworth will launch an affordable home buying program. Officials say the more than $940,000 the city recieved will go toward a three-home permanently affordable homeownership pilot project in conjunction with Upper Valley’s MEND’s SHARE Community Land Trust. City officials said the funding will also help get several other community projects off the ground.
