WANAPUM – A man accused in a police standoff after a weapons incident at Priest Rapids Dam is now facing two counts of assault. Bobby Tahmalwash was arrested on Feb. 26 after pointing a gun at two contractors and then holding law enforcement at bay after fleeing across the damn into Yakima County, where dam security said he began shooting, prompting a police pursuit that ended when he collided with the tactical team’s armored vehicle. He was apprhended by a K9 officer and taken into custody, according to the sheriff’s office.
